Be Still

IMG_2350 - Version 2Soul Food: Evening Psalm 46

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. … Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult. … There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of the city; it shall not be moved; God will help it when the morning dawns. When God speaks, the earth melts. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. … ‘Be still, and know that I am God!’” ~

“After this the Lord appointed seventy others and sent them on ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he himself intended to go … saying, ‘Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house! … The kingdom of God has come near to you.'”

Yesterday, this beautiful creature came in broad daylight and stood still in our front yard. Then, a sweet  friend came and gifted me with a beautiful prayer shawl, handmade with her love and prayers. … It felt as if God was saying, “Peace … I am still here.”
